Chamber women’s networking luncheon program set for today – Community

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee will hold the second in a series of women’s networking luncheon programs for 2018 today from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ovalon Restaurant, 252 N. The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee will hold the second in a series of woman’s networking luncheon programs for 2018 today from noon to 1 p.m. at the Ovalon Restaurant, 252 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton.


The event is being sponsored by Lawn Specialties and is open for any woman to attend.


The program will begin promptly at noon and will include a buffet-style lunch.


Guest speaker is Dr. Michael J. Mahoney, a provider of Lehigh Valley Physician Group-Hazleton, who will present on the benefits of robotic surgery. He will also touch on varicose vein treatment and general surgery.


Door prize drawings, including a free lunch for the next program and the opportunity to give an introduction of one’s business at the event will be drawn.


Women are encouraged to bring along promotional items, such as business cards, brochures, giveaways, etc., to display on a business resource table.


Additional bi-monthly luncheon programs for the remainder of the year have been set for May 22, July 31, Sept. 25 and Nov. 27.


The cost to attend the luncheon program is $18 for chamber members and $25 for non-members. The fee will be collected at the door.


Proceeds will benefit the Women’s Empowerment Grant Fund.

Also, the 12th annual Ladies Night Out event, which is also open for any women in the Hazleton area to attend, will be held April 4 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Edgewood by Sand Springs, Drums.


The theme is an evening of networking, relaxation, shopping and self-indulgence for all women from throughout Greater Hazleton.


An expo will feature more than 28 businesses geared toward women offering information, cash and carry items, sampling of services, demonstrations, giveaways, coupons and more.
